PLANT DESIGN

Elm Avenue

Larkspur

This Spanish style bungalow with a larger than life view of Mount Tam was so inspirational, adding indoor and outdoor potted plants felt like sprinkling the finishing touches on top of a finely decorated work of art. Antique Moroccan, Italian and French vessels fit the Mediterranean style of the home. Dreamy Hardenbergia vines, warm petunias and chocolate cosmo flowers pop against the bespoke terracotta tiles of the front steps.

Hero Shop

Marin Country Mart

Introducing potted plants to this chic, colorful and elegant clothing store was a treat. It felt natural to contrast white walls with vintage Turkish and Greek pottery, planted with unique statement trees that bring a cozy element of home. Outside, antique palm tree barrel planters feature bright kumquat trees, trailing rosemary and native ceanothus shrubs, a nod to their northern Californian location.

The Great

Marin Country Mart

The Shady Lady black olive tree, Bucida buceras, can be finicky indoors. This shop’s location, skylights and thoughtful care allow her to really thrive. Situated in the center of the store, this umbrella shaped tree makes quite a statement while highlighting the tall ceiling and stunning architecture of The Great.

7th Street

Petaluma

Plants love Petaluma, especially in this 1900’s Victorian home. Many tall built-ins and shelving called for cascading vines, far-reaching Hoyas and Philodendrons. This client is a plant lover, and we had the honor of finding a home for family heirloom planters in a re-imagined mudroom. Helping plants thrive in this sunny home is an ongoing rewarding experience.
